We are excited to announce the addition of Matt McCarty to the Leftee Golf team. Matt is a professional golfer based in Scottsdale, AZ, currently competing on the Korn Ferry Tour.
McCarty, a graduate of Santa Clara University, was a three-time All West Coast Conference, First-Team selection. In 39 collegiate career events, McCarty recorded a 71.63 career scoring average and carded twenty Top 10 finishes with another thirty finishes in the Top 20.
After a decorated collegiate career, McCarty turned professional in June 2021, was crowned the Wyoming State Champion (59, 64, 65) and earned status on the Korn Ferry Tour for the 2022 season.
Matt made seven cuts in his first seven starts that year, while recording a 70.12 professional scoring average. He placed in the Top 20 in four events, including a T5 finish at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open.
McCarty continued playing a hot hand in 2022, qualifying for the 122nd U.S. Open held at The Country Club, placing T117.
Matt parlayed this past experience into a strong start to the ‘23 season, placing T6 at The Panama Championship and T3 at The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic.
